Dave, do you mind spending few minutes to write your plans for this game and everything? Its means a lot to some of us to hear what is happening with this game and future plans for it? When i say future plans, i mean in this year. Thanks in advance.

If you want to understand my plans you can read my past posts. My plans have not changed. Except that I am very unlikely to make any changes on atWar for 2025. I'm not saying any of this to be flippant. I'm just being honest.

I always said this: I believe that people change. People can sometimes see that they fucked up, and correct it. I believe Dave can change mistakes he did in the past.

As for profits, it is a very tough spot indeed, but you can increase activity by just unbanning people, its a no brainer to atleast start from that and give it a shot.

The only mistake I've made with atWar was actually caring TOO much about the community and what other people think. It caused me to waste too much time talking to people trying to make them see my position. Nobody cares. Waffel is the perfect example. I spent HOURS talking with that dude, listening to his concerns, telling him mine, and trying to reach understanding. Then he goes off and posts things which only show me that he absolutely did not understand anything I said. The lesson I've learned: people are gonna bitch no matter what. Nothing I say will change their minds. Just do what you need to do for the best interests of the game and ignore the noise.

If I had it to do over, I would have banned people faster and not wasted so much time explaining why. Activity was already declining before, and continued declining after.... banning a few toxic people who needed to go didn't do anything to change the course the game was already on. In other words: no great loss. The upshot: somewhat less moderation issues to have to deal with. The trade-off was and is worth it.

It does irritate me however when people say I "don't care" about atWar. It's easy for people to sit back and make accusations when they don't have the real life responsibilities to deal with like I do. I know better than to expect any sympathy or understanding from this community. But I do keep atWar running and deal with the emergencies when things break, no matter how busy I am with other things. Is that the act of someone who doesn't care?

I know that atWar will be shutdown in the future, when Dave decides that he doesn't want to continue on with this game, I'm not sure who would pick it up. I want to dedicate this thread to us expressing our love and gratitude for this game. No matter how few people we are, we'll still play this game till the day it dies.

I'll go first. I made my first account in 2014 under the name of PartySUPERB15. I played up until rank 7, then completely forgot about the game, until I re-discovered it back in 2018. That's when I made my main account here, woojoo. I didn't meet many people through the game, but I hope I got along with you guys well enough (even if I am shit at 3v3s).

atWar is not shutting down lol.... I intend to keep it going for the long haul. Even if I'm the last one playing the game against a bunch of bots!

But otherwise I like the idea of this thread. I'll go: I started in 2018 (I think?) with my super-secret alt that still lurks in casuals from time to time. I still love the game, just wish I had more time to play these days.

Game is dead but staff team is even worse. We have a bug abuser and hacker as head supporter. We have the nerd Luciferstar as supporter and the ultra nerd Lelouch as mod. They don't rly do anything useful for the game (no offense luci, full offense pavle and lelouch). Only the great G Sascha has been carrying the game lately. Player base is quite small and dead, but you can't have one man running and managing the game on his own. Maybe if we had one more useful mod and some more supporters we could hold more community events and other stuff that could help the game thrive and be better than it is right now. I know I wrote this in my troll language but my suggestion is serious so please consider it.

I can't believe my eyes. You guys actually want MORE staff?

I remember not too long ago people saying we had too much staff!

Expected behavior
When I try to load the map it loads to
6/7 Progress and an error code line appears.

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

I tried to load the map on 4 different browsers.
This error occurred after properly deleting a border -clearing the background and then saving. (The last border to finish the map)

Information:
Browser: All Browsers

OS: Windows

Any other relevant information: The map is saved under not cloneable - Is it possible for an admin/mod to change this so I can salvage the map by cloning?

Attachments: eh- i think this explains it well enough.

If the map in question was "Calradia Atwar", then I can mark this as "fixed" since Sascha messaged me about that one and I rolled it back to the last good backup.
