I am not a super dank coder but I had some questions towards the dank devs. I made personal websites when I was younger, and I am touching up on my javascript but....
If HTML5 atWar uses JSON data to store... data(units, map borders, etc)
then what does silverlight use?
--------------------------
Which game engine did you guys base this off of, or did you guys work from scratch?
-------------
and wow i guess as of a few days ago, the developer tools has been disabled on atwar, there goes my learning experience.
---------
Is there a changelog for the atwar-game.js (just curious i have seen it change from i think .43 to .48[but now dev tools are gone ])
-----------
Thanks for taking the time to read my questions, I have more for whoever knows the answers

Okay, I tried to register an account using the same username that I have on the main server, and it says "account with this name already exists". I tried searching for that username in players list on the test server, and there is no exact name "Pavle". I suppose that test server uses the database that is connected to the main server database, am I right? I think that it isn't safe to have connected databases.

I can not log in my account to the test version. i thought the purpose of that was to test new map editor (you can't with new account). or you did'nt put updates to see yet? anyways send me a mail if you need help with checking it.

Test site uses a test service and test database, so everything is completely separated from the live site. You will have to create a new account, as your old account password wouldn't work (privacy concerns!). We'd also advice not to use the same password you're using on the live site.

With due respect, "may considering" does not strike any certainty in real life, let alone in AW claimed by an admin who promised the same "Map Editor 99.7% done" years ago.
I will admit it's somewhere at the very bottom of our to-do list, so don't expect it any time soon. Much more pressing issues to deal with.
Given how long some people have been getting away with these abuses, you can't just expect it to all go away over night. Would be reasonable to increase punishments for repeat abuses rather than insta ban... Or whatever "zero tolerance" means in this case.

When are you guys going to canvas investment to Vivendi-Ubisoft so you can get a solid influx of dev money to hire a larger team? I'm sure they would love to drop money into a game that could potentially give Paradox a run for their money if they knew a milk franchise could be developed from it. Not even memeing here.
Quote:
1.Fix server so we can play like humans.
2.Release map editor already.
Admins promised that gonna be done 2 years ago. We can't wait anymore.
3.Demote inactive and useless mods.
4.Implement two new strategies. Even if they suck, we just need something new. We can make a topic with suggestions for new strats.
5.Fix codes. It is so easy to exploit some of bugs.

What happen to all the old names that players used to have in their profile? is it just me or this game keeps losing features as time goes on.

Yes, it's the real me. I cannot do anything about the editor or the server (as both are in Amok's domain), but I'm trying to do what I can in the limited time I have.
One doubt, if I may. Quote: "This doesn't mean we're going to promote the most upvoted ones, but we will certainly take them into consideration."
Who are these "we" involving? In other words, who are the people, in plural, in charge of judging these suggestions?

Is this even the real Ivan? You want me to believe that after so many months of innactivity, game collapsing, ivan comes back all of a sudden, doesnt say nothing about map editor or server problems or game dying, totally ignores that, decides to add new supporters all of a sudden(half of mystics clan and ppl who never did nothing for the community) and demote old ones(like cold case and croat),and then after in just 2 days adds them he decides to add new moderators without letting no one know.Ahaaaaa.And all that started when HDrakon came back. All you dudes that you see a mods add post and u so blind to even sit and think why this is happening, and just propose, and even proposing shit ppl who dont worth being mod at all, like game had not more serious problems, seems like we solved them and now all we need in new mods and moderators....Wtf

Fair enough, but if the game isn't a priority to you, why don't you sell it?
No one's buying.
Do you even try to find buyers?

Thank you for responding and being active in this thread. If you guys continue to check the forum regularly, and respond every once in a while, I think that would make a big difference. I understand that you're struggling with time, so best of luck with that, and hopefully you find the time sometime.
As you can't hire someone with money, why not search for someone qualified from the community to be a temporary programmer in return for ProtoCoins, special privileges such as free incognito or something, and maybe a free premium to give to one of their friends? I don't know how persuasive that is, but someone might be willing in this community.

I used to be pretty angry about everything until I realized that in all reality coding is a strenuous thing that takes quite a plethora of time to function properly (atleast with this kinda stuff). Cut ivan and amok some slack...

We've fixed the Chrome bug within an hour of my post. What other words did I use that you're sceptical about?
Chrome is still broken for me

Thank you for your response, it is very much needed, but I have a few concerns that the community shares:
- The fact that you intend to support AW is great and a relief to hear, but you also need to show it. People are concerned about map maker, servers, etc, and we have not heard from you guys in ages (I went inactive for a few months and came back, and nothing had changed). If we can just get a realistic ETA for the map maker and a show of some commitment, I think the community will be greatly put at ease, and activity will start to grow again. While numbers may have not necessarily fallen, quality has. Competitiveness has declined and no new maps are coming out. While the game is still enjoyable, this is an issue that needs to be tended to.
- We don't want the game to be pay2win for sure, but we also want to see the game moving forward. I know that you guys are busy and all, but the community has some great ideas for not only things to implement, but also ways to enhance the overall game quality, such as hiring a full time programmer and giving them a percentage of monthly premium revenue or of the game as a whole.
I hope you can take some time to go around the forums and see how the game's doing, and we all hope that you guys update us and keep in touch.

Again admins show up full of words and no actions?
