Pangaea mode

It would be a cool idea if you added a new gamemode/world with the map of Pangaea...

I agree that yes this would be cool. But as with most of these map change suggestions, this can't happen anytime soon.

Low priority, doubt it will be pursued

I would love to play in this mode.

There were no humans when Pangea, not even close...

It would be a cool idea if you kept all the cities the same, and just shifted the continents into each other - eliminating the oceans.

This actually sounds awesome. When custom maps are ever made, this should be the first. The Moon should be the second. But you'll have to wait a loooong time for that to happen. -.-

The pangea was 300 million years ago, first humans (homo sapiens, otherwise known as us) were 400k-200k years ago, so you are only 299.5 million years out bro, don't worry.

i believe the first species to walk completely upright would be Homo erectus (i shit you not, that's the scientific name, it means upright man in latin) lived 1.8million-1.3million years ago, but yeah, you are still way out.

the first to use tools would be the Homo habilis, but they would have looked more like a gorilla than a human, kinda like the missing link i guess. they lived 2.8million-1.4million, but alas you are still far off my friend.

lesson? don't say stupid things about stuff you have no idea what you are talking about.

It would make more sense to do a future Super continent

Afro-eurasia is currently considered a super continent. can you travel from tokyo to london in one turn?

all the landmass will be more compact, yes, but the overall land area will be the same, so you have to travel the same distance, that is if you want to keep it to scale of course.

Overall this wouldn't be exciting at all, it would just be a larger Eurasia battle, anyone on the edges would have a nice advantage, and if you want to send them a submarine surprise by crossing the worlds newest largest ocean and meeting them on their coast, you will have to travel for 15-20 weeks minimum.

i'll give you an example, imagine if australia was 3-4 times as big as it is now, and was just stuck in the middle of the afterwind map, then there was no desert in the middle, and millions of troops were sandwiched by the outskirts and beaten to shit. would that be an interesting fight?

Some scientist prefer the Amasia theory and not the Pangea Ultima
