I honestly feel so bad for the Easter Islanders as their culture is incredibly similar to that of the Maori in New Zealand, it's believed that some of the canoes that left the cook islands to settle in new zealand got lost and ended up in the Chatham islands and Easter Island which would explain why they're so similar
