Yes its mean, but its a valid tactic. I understand not using it in CW, but in a normal game i see it as fine. I dont like being betrayed but it has happend to me and it was a valid tactic for them people. I dont like wall fucking...When it happens to me. I also dont like betraying....When it happens to me.

Why get so angry about it in a normal game? Why not see it as a valid tactic?

Wall fuck on first turn and me and many people will target you. Stay honest to the code we have in place or you will be excluded from the community as a whole. Your not the first person, nore the last to take this stance but it is entirely un acceptable.

you say yourself you don't like w/f - no one does. It's a simple reason... this is a strategy game and 1st t wfs reduce options, making it less a strategy game.

People get annoyed because they want to play a strategy game.. not throw the dice turn 2 to see who wins. Since everyone gets this, the only reason people wf is to try and get an unfair advantage, or because they are weaker strategically, and have no other way to win.

So people won't see it as a valid tactic because it's not a tactic. It's a low conduct move.

To go out an potentially "target" me in games is ridiculous.

Again, I do not like when people back stab me, but just because i dont like it doesn't mean i dont see it as a valid tactic in a war game. That war game mind you, being massively based on strategy and tactics no matter how nice or mean they may be.

I did a look up to see if there were any posts on it.

Turns out this question has been an issue since the start of aW. The place is divided on the matter.

The division however, is not based on good reasons. That being said, most people who support t1 wf either a) don't know the rules b) don't care or c) have some vendetta against people who betray(ed) them.

Are those genuinely good reasons to justify wf?

Think about the name: wallfuck. Built into the word itself is the idea of ruining, screwing up, [effectively] fucking up someone's walls, someone's means to defend themselves. It's like in some forms of martial arts, you bow before beginning. Imagine kicking someone in the face while they were bowing.

The point is, the "rule" to not wf t1 is based off the idea of actually enjoying and fleshing out a good game. AW is a strategy game, no? What strategy is there in wfing t1 and rushing t2? Anyone.. literally anyone who has taken aw tutorial can do that. It requires no skill, it requires no forethought essentially. It goes against the basic fundaments of aW, namely, strategy, slow paced gameplay, skill.

Persons who support wfing t1, therefore, either have no [real or measurable] skills, sense of consideration, or sportsmanship.

Dareisay, wfing is cheating.

No one likes backstabbers but it is and should be part of the game. Just like wf in a normal game. If its a CW or the host says no wf then i i wouldn't do it because of fairness, but why should we care about fairness in a normal match?

Why be fair at all? Let's go back to first turn cap attacks.

Certain 'guidelines' are just followed to make the game more enjoyable... being annoyed isn't enjoyable for most people ♥

Wfing is the exception not the rule.
In a "normal" match, as you say, wfing isn't allowed.

Yourself and Kaixo are slightly persuading me. However being back stabbed is not enjoyable, getting beaten by a rare unit is not enjoyable, getting rushed is not enjoyable, getting allyfagd in a match is not enjoyable. Yes i do agree that wf is dirty play thats why i would not do it in a CW as thats more of a competitive scene not a casual one. If i see an opportunity to take advantage, why not? Ive been beaten many times because people took their opportunity's at me in game over the years and then they have won...

I do see it as a tactic, a nasty one? Yeah. So? If it gets them out of the game and then there is now only 5 more players to take out, thats fine for me, i already took out 1. plus more land for me. Take in mind i do not wf all the time, i just it there today, first time in 2 years. But at times i can see it as a tactic.

That's why you have to make the choice for yourself... if you want to follow the lowest common denominator it's fine, but majority of AW players would agree with you that those things aren't enjoyable, and so don't do those things.

Most of the things you mention can be avoided or prevented... rares can be turned off (except when wanting to find Santa). Allies can be set to 0. Rushing can't be avoided in some games, so yeah, i agree with you there. And i keep track of the backstabbers and don't tend to play games with them, or if i do, i at least know who they are and won't ally them again.

I dont like when them things happen to me....But thats the thing. When they happen to me, idc if im the one doing it. See my point?

"things you mention can be avoided or prevented" Exactly if you see a wf then enemy list/ban from games

Just to play devils advocate here...

I've been wf'd turn 1 in duels twice, and still won because they just rushed t2 and failed. Granted they were against theFuehrer (mr. flat earth)

Just to play devils advocate here...

Not a propher phrase... :p

Anyway, years ago i proposed that capitals become unattackable until turn 3.

The point of the unwritten "dont wallfuck 1st turn" rule was always, not only the advantage one player gets, but also how bad the game is when all caps are open turn 2.

So way make a rule and have mods enforce it, then complain about mod actions etc. ... when a solution is just making it pointless to wallfuck.

I think it should be allowed within mechanics for some obscure scenario that exists out there (?). Just a thought
