Yeah. I got the same problem since yesterday. After you click on play online and Silverlight starts loading the game, Avast will block it.

Probably a false positive by Avast? But I'm not an expert

Get rid of it and search something new

Why get rid ? It's secure with Avast (never a false problem for me).

My question is : why avast find a virus in atwar app ? No modification was declared by administrators since 2 months. So ?

Don't turn Avast off!
Just go to Avast Settings and enter in Global Exclusions the url http://atwar-game.com* (with the asterisk at the end). This should solve it!

What I did:

Turned off Avast!
Closed and re-open browser
AtWar loaded, so I just re-activated Avast!

Problem solved. It didnt happened to me again.

Thank you. I've done the same and they told me it'll be whitelisted with their next update.

Great. But it is no guarantee forever. Had the same issue about a year ago and had it solved with them If the site gets reported (falsely) as a threat, they may put it up again. To solve it definitely, just do what I stated above: add it to the "Global Exclusion" list by adding http://atwar-game.com* (with the asterisk at the end).

Yeah Columna, you're right. But you can't say that to a new player who don't go in the forum.

When this issue appears, we must contact Avast and then diffuse your method during the time when Avast fixes it.

If you are careful on the web and only install software from known vendors then the chances of needing an Anti Virus app is extremely low.

Avast sucks for me.And best antivirus is your brain.

Sure, let your brain check all files you may interchange with other people!

Well if you use your brain than you would not have any viruses. But obviously you are not. Many people are like ''i have antivirus i can't get any virus'' well that's not true.Brain is the best protection when surfing on internet.

There are more sources of infection than the internet. Again, if you need to have a file interchange with other people, there are the sources of infection!

I will use an analogy, lets say we have a swine flu virus where a number of people fall victim to the outbreak and die, there is an alarm bell that warns everyone that there is something in the wild we need to be worried about. What happens then is the great scientist starts to to dissect the way he virus works so that everyone can get a vaccination to prevent the virus from spreading. This is what happens in the signature based security world. You then have anti virus vendors that must agree that a piece of software or a piece of code is malicious, they agree to that because they have seen an outbreak and people fall victim to that attack. Now, this would not be an issue if we had 1,2 or 10 new strains (viruses) coming into the wild everyday from a malware perspective. However, there are at least 200,000 new strains of malware being released into the wild in the daily basis. There is absolutely no way we would survive if we had 200,000 viruses being released into our world on the daily basis. The great scientist would not be able to keep up. This is exactly what is happening with anti virus software. The anti virus software that most people rely on today can not keep up with the new strains of malware that are pushed out every day. This is the reason why anti virus software fails. As mentioned above, if you use your brain you do not have to worry. Don't enter websites that look harmful, don't download anything that doesn't look safe, don't allow connections from unauthorized applications, programs, or services. By doing just that, i'm sure you will be safe from predators.

... if you learn a little the web, you will know that you can be infected just by your ip and package send on your adress.
You can be infected just by an image that you download.
You can be infected by an advertise that you see.

Brain isn't a good protection. But if you are so sure of your brain, i'm nobody to blame you.
