Hi everyone, I am new to the game, but trying to learn to play well. I had a problem recently where allies have suddenly taken my capital, and others cities, even though it was walled. Is there a way to prevent this? Why are allies able to take cities without breaking walls, or declaring war, anyway? Almost every time I ally, the ally turns against me after a few turns, while I am fighting another power, and then the former ally quickly takes my cap before I can react. It is really frustrating, because sometimes I will be in what seems like a good position, only to suddenly lose in a few turns by the ally. Any advice would be very welcome. Should I just never do alliance? Thanks

^ Actually not. Dumb is to have allies that cap you. Or, to put it differently, dumb is to ally people that cap you!
