Unlocking units

How/where do you unlock units? Is it with SPs or do you have to buy them? I'm talking about units like the stealth submarines, etc.

You unlock them with your SP. Check the upgrades list, there you can unlock new units and strategies ect.
---- I hate to advocate drugs alcohol and violence to the kids, but it's always worked for me.
