So if you have started watching a game from say turn 4 or 5 and you want to know how the game went from the beginning. Also this can be used as a tool to reflect on how you did and how your allies did. There can be a button top right of the screen that shows pictures taken each turn of Europe slightly zoomed in so you can see the walls, if it would not fit then two pictures of East and West. An option to save a picture could be included. Also, and option to see players list from the start. what do you think? Another good idea is Pulse's idea where you can go back to the match on turn x and zoom in and out etc like you are a spectator on that turn.

Better yet would be to have a slider where you could see how the state of the world was in the previous turns.

Thats basically what i mean, a group of pictures of each turn.

Doesn't need to be a group of pictures. What I mean is to really make the match go back to the state it was on turn X, but you can interact with the units (as in clicking a city and checking income, which units it has, things like that).

Would be a nice feature to have but i don't think it should be of high priority. You can already do this now with simple applications like Lightshot.

Ok, i will add pulse's idea its a very viable one. And yes Meester this is easy to implement just auto ss two pictures every turn.

Viable yes, but it would slow down the game. If you implement this client or server side, the problem is that there are large map sizes. If you just capture pictures and replay that, it would still be a lot of memory. SS is best option, because it does not use the actual map, but what you see on the screen instead. If you can find a way to make it not use a lot of memory, then it would be a neat function, but what i do already is zoom out at the beginning and end of each turn, so i can see how the world is progressing

Following what Pulse said, have the server save the positions on the map of every unit and what was killed/taken each turn, then allow you to flip through each turn in a fast replay after the game. And, like the aftermath stats, once you exit the game into the lobby the cache automatically clears the saved game positions from the server. Or, if you want other people to be able to view it instead of only people who played, after 1h or so, the client deletes all positions.

I like your idea of being able to get the replays, though would it be hard to implement?

Are you sure?
