I think the devs are already working on a path route system, an auto path route would fit in nicely with it.

-This software solution is easy to
-free auto path hard and complex (due to the seas)
-the way for the more realistic strategy (the effect of land)

Seems useful. Especially in a world map where you're doing 50 million things at once.

What about the costs, didn't quite understand.. The fact that you're saving transport ships, escort ships and avoiding frontlines isn't realistic at all and players would be unaware of a near army being merged in a city near their borders.

Nononono, you've got it wrong, they are not automatically delivered. They go by a set path that you make every reinforcement turn. You can be notified if it fails because of not enough income or a break in the system. For breaks in the system you would have to set it up again. It could take from 1-50 and above turns to complete.

How furious would the thread owner be seeing his idea transformed into a trolling thread.

You two, stay on topic.

Some people didn't understand what he was saying so we were asking for clarification. I am happy El Fin helped me understand what this suggestion was about. It seems others still couldn't figure it out even after me and el fin tried to explain.

Also.. :3 I this idea seems very complicated to add with very little benefit considering most games people play nowadays either are over every quickly. Under 50 turns. Also people should be playing the game :/ someone in casual could easily set up this system and have all these troop movements going on! and they could sit out turn after turn.

No, it just saves a lot of repetitious moving.

Repetitious actions are what make up the bricks of a game. The less action and more watching you do the more it just becomes a hands off simulation. We already have the option to make automatic units , you want to take it a step further and have unit movements automated. Where does this stop? The next person would want attacks automated! and diplomacy!

If you don't like repetition you don't like games .

No, I dislike the complete repetition, like EU 3v3s all the time. The same moves all the time. I like in games the variation of tactics and different moves every time. If something doesn't offer me that then I will quickly get bored of it (EU 3v3s). Whereas playing world games gives a lot of variety, even then there is a bit of repetition at the start, which is unavoidable for a good start. You can not say that games are just pure repetition because that is, frankly, wrong.
