We all know Naval Commanders goal; It's to be powerful at sea and not as strong on land.

While this stands true, we also notice how alot of the commonly picked strategies increase land power a lot, while not weakening anywhere serious.

Because our land stands sub-par, fighting at land is not something we would like to do simply because we cannot truly fight tons of bombers or marines or tanks on land, because our strongest unit is at sea.

Sure if we had somewhere like america, we'd be strong simply because we're surrounded by water, but how can we gain america when our land units are so weak compared to the others.

All im asking is for just a couple of changes to Naval Commander, so we don't get steamrolled on land by the flawless strategies e.g sky menace.

Ideas:

-----------
Infantry
-----------
1. Increase infantry defence by 1 when using Naval Commander
2. Decrease infantry attack by 1 when using Naval Commander

-----------
Transports
-----------
1. Increase Transport capacity by 5 when using Naval Commander

-----------
Tanks
-----------
1. Remove the tank attack -1 and instead make it tank defence -2

----------
Destroyers
----------
1. Make destroyers +4 range instead of +3

These changes will really help Naval Commander while not making it too powerfull and keeping the original idea of powerfull naval units.
Land and air strategies still have the advantage over Naval Commander with this on land, but not such a serious amount that we can't fight them.

For those who don't realise, these changes will:

Make Infantry defence +1 than usual and attack -1 than usual.
Make Tanks attack the default and defence -2 than usual
Increase Capacity for Transport
Increase the movement range of destroyers

(It kind of sucks non-sky menace bombers outrange Naval Commander Destroyers, this will make the non sky-menace bombers only just outrange destroyers while Sky menace bombers still outrange destroyers a lot, as it should)

How about having infantries with much better attack? i.e. Marines? (not Afterwind Marines which are basically Special Forces, but Naval Infantry)... 5 or 6 attack?

"Suggesting new units: keep in mind that we're not planning to add more base units (the ones that you can buy in cities). There will be some additional rare units, though. If you still insist on suggesting units, keep in mind the scale of the game (1 unit = small army, not a single tank) and the fact that units must be unique in some way, without mirroring the currently available units. "Like tank, but stronger" - doesn't work."

Man I disagree with everything you just said, and I'm probably the only one who plays NC decently in AW besides Ironail.

I'd just give it some fixed costs...maybe destroyers since they aren't all that useful due to how limited the coast is especially in europe maps (the most played map)

you misunderstand me. I just gave the idea that for NC, the infantry could have higher attack, to boost it a bit.

Well if the cost is not nerfed then that would be really really op.

You are so good fruit

On the serious side, I believe NC is fine as it is and I think it will become more important with the new custom maps thing.

Can sea units attack land units if they are close enough? Or bomb coast cities at least? I tried to figure it out but I'ma noob and don't know

If so I would like to learn how to utilize this, if someone could message me that'd be awesome. If not well.... that could be the tweak you're looking for. Then sea units could fight back against land to some limited extent, it would actually make the buff more useful and give a tactical advantage. So far though in this game all I'm seeing is spam & can't even find a use for defensive lines and such.... maybe you guys should add more tactical options for squads or units & more counter units, seems like if you fight no matter what unit its always 1 for 1 kill which is weird to me.... or maybe there is something I'm missing and passed up or didn't learn I'm still just a noob

PM me if you can help me not be such a noob
