I've had kinda the same problem, do they disappear after a while? On my EU4 after some time when I capture or the AI captures a province, stripes wont appear and when that province is lost due to peace or attack the stripes also persist, so... If you also know how to solve this xd Maybe try reinstall the game? or compress saves I think

Whenever I get the problem with the stripes I just save the game and reload it, problem solved as to the save issue it looks like it resolved itself

Yeah about the stripe thing I do the same aswell, since it gets really annoying after a while and kinda messes with your gameplay, We should really turn this specific topic into a EU4 hub tbh xd

Never had the problem with saves, but as for the stripe thing, when I'm in normal mode, I just use console commands to trigger an autosave to clear it up, instead of reloading the whole game. In ironman, I've set autosave interval to 6 months so I just wait for one. If it doesn't clear up, then I reload

AKA Cheat Codes (although they're meant to be used by modders) More can be found here: EU4 Wiki Addendum: This is the key you press to open up the console command window You can use it to add or remove cores, vassalize countries, integrate countries, colonize, annex and more with just a few words typed into it. I could start in 1444 as Ryukyu, and without even unpausing the game, I could integrate Ming, Ashikaga, Dai Viet, and just for keks, France too, while vassalizing Austria, and colonizing the whole of the New World. It's why achievements are only possible to be earned in Ironman Mode, where the console commands are unavailable.

I'm France, and this gives me a warm and fuzzy feeling I've been waging so many wars, literally no one except portugal is colonizing right now and it's 1560. The Ottomans are bankrupt, Spain is bankrupt has been exiled to only the Canaries, Portugal was bankrupt, England doesn't exist, Austria is in a PU under Hungary....It;s a fucked up game man Everyone hates me (like, coalition of 24-27 countries banding together, hates me).

I dare you to piss off so many countries, you get coalition warnings from Catholic countries when trying to annex a single province from a Muslim nation....This is the warning I got after proposing a peace-deal to the above coalition: xaxa idgaf

Is EU4 like CK2? I saw that if I buy something for like ten dollars I can export my game to EU4 in 1453

Yes, there's variations in the maps, but when you export it corrects and synchronizes... worked first time i tried and i was like 0.0 - it was kinda amazing to have this crossover.

I got super hyped about this (it's literally my 5th ever EU4 game), so I'm putting it up here: Country: France Start Date: 11th November 1444 I spammed Royal Marriages and trashed other countries' prestige to get a higher chance of PUs. It worked quite well considering I got my ally Scotland (which had swallowed up England), Brandenburg, Lithuania (which broke away from Poland), and Muscovy (via claim throne cb) under PUs over the course of the game. My aim was to Restore the Roman Empire as fast as I can. Europe was fucked, as I blobbed the shit out, without care for coalitions, and Castille (Who got the burgundian inheritance), England, Ottomans, Austria, Denmark, all declared bankruptcy before the 1530s. Literally no one was colonizing except Portugal. So of course I force-vassalized them and let them do it for me. Then I laughed a lot when Austria fell into a PU under Hungary and Silesia (a two province country became Emperor). With a weak Emperor, I blobbed and blobbed, fighting off 5 coalition wars (they seriously hated me - like 800 aggreesive expansion penalty hated me) until I realized that the the forces under my command alone (let alone my subjects) were twice the size of the entire HRE combined....So I declared war on everyone. Literally. Co-belligerized everyone, if I had truces I broke them, if I didnt have a cb I didn't give a fuck, declared 11 separate wars, separate peace'd everyone for either full annexation, or force-vassalization (the HRE Electors) and at the end of it I had 600+% overextension, spent the next 60 years putting down revolts all over Europe and had dismantled the HRE. I was integrating my subjects, and annexing all my vassals (vassal-feeding OP). Only the Ottomans stood in my way and I had a fifteen year truce with them. So i broke it, and took 100 warscore worth of land. Then immediately, I broke it again...and again, until they became a One Province Minor in Crimea. On the 7th of October 1603, I had colonies in the Americas, India, Indonesia, North and South Africa, and was working down towards Australia. The world looked like this: On the 8th of October, it looked like this: Vive la Roma!!

EU4 doesn't require as much micromanagement as CK2 requires, with all the complext web of succession and title inheritances and givings you have to make in CK2 to keep a power balance in your realm. I have CK2 and I've done a Castille game from 1066 to 1444 and then exported it to EU4 (for free tho, idk if my cracked game came with it but at least was free) and the world in EU4 was all messy with House names you'll never hear in standard EU4. I think the exporting DLC is buyable when going from EU4 to VIC2

It would...unless you declared war on their ally and co-belligerized them (or less effectively just let them be called in as an ally and send their war exhaustion and stuff through the roof). Another way, is to keep your eye on the "Disputed Succession" popup and RM countries you wanna get a PU over. It's how I got one over Brandenburg. Edited previous message

CK2 is too complicated for my tastes. And requires more patience as it's a lot of diplomacy and stuff. My idea of diplomacy is: >Improve relations >royal marriage >pray to RNGesus >get PU >profit I got fedup of ck2 and got a refund from Steam

Ck 2 takes more effort but is that much more rewarding, aswell with some of the dlc it turns into an op rpg. Got a ck2 got mod where I converted to high valerian and opened my own free city and became the most successful slaver in the world. So successful I even have a dragon.

Well I was gonna post my france game to show darth but I updated EU4 and I lost the save :/ but I've done a Byzantium game this week and I guess it went alright, I wanted to form rome but that wasn't attained cuz I spent too much time structuring research and shit. Here are some screens: I'm too bored to play it to the end so I stopped in 1779 xd By 1600's Hungary had formed a PU with me and shortly after so did Austria (like in 1650 or so) (ever since the 1550's Hungary, Scotland, Russia and Austria had my Dynasty as ruling there, Palaiologos)- I managed to overcome the Ottomans by simply allying Hungary and Serbia and later Austria and then started conquering turkish balkans and moved onto the anatolian coast. At the same time I managed to vassalise Trebizond and used it to conquer Georgia and Circassia, and hold a good ground in the caucasus. Then when Poland and Lithuania ended their union due to war demand, I just started eating lithuania and managed to reach Crimea, which I then started conquering (had to face off the Muscovians in 1 war). After that I just started waring Mamluks and Ottomans and by the 1650's I invaded Italy. By 1720's I restored the Pentarchy (took rome) and then rushed the whole north africa. I think I ever come back to this game I can rush Iberia and France and England in enough time to form rome by 1820, mayybe, afterall, I can make 438 regimments :p Here are some screenshots of this game: Yep, this happened, and I also got to kick them from Egypt and Hejaz area and still take all their asian colonies except Kiribati (Egypt had Hawaii, Taiwan, and several smaller islands in the pacific near Philipinnes and Indonesia kek This is another crazy part about this game I played, England was fully obliterated around the 1530's by Scotland, France and a unified Ireland that was afterwards annexed by Scotland xd, and somehow ressurged in the 1640's in New Orleans and started expanding heavily in North America. Post here your EU4 games, and let's get this going! We could also arrange some sort of game, I think Tunngle can connect the non-cracked to cracked games
