Obviously you can leave a single unit inside to protect them but it's still absurd, shouldn't there be an option where it asks if the user is allowed to take it and you select accept or decline?

Good point. I think the immoral conduct can be curbed by your suggestion. Yet, I believe that is subject to AW's operating system. Should ask admin if this is workable or not.

Why not? Sometimes you must give stuff to your ally. Just keep it with 1. Imo, the request to allow it or not seems too complicated to AW, for me.

How else will you give cities to your ally? And I like being able to steal it from your ally. It makes it more interesting

If allies aren't able to take your cities, then when you need to strategically attack your capital, and you NEED allied support, if you lose all your units to the battle but they don't, it could cost both of you the entire operation. Just leaving 1 militia or infantry in each city should eliminate the problem, and while it is time consuming and retarded to have to do, it'll affect more things than one.

I don't think it's immoral, it's strategic, although I do agree there should be changed, for the moment I think it's an acceptable practice.
