Im not sure if its just me, but it seems to be. I am having trouble staying or in some cases, getting connected, to the servers. I tried switching browsers, but to no avail. What could be wrong? I was perfectly fine a few hours ago, but then I stopped playing simcity and now I cant connect.

No, because everything else is fine for me.
I tried switching browsers, but it didnt work.
No, that's great idea. Lemme try that. EDIT: actually, I cant. My computer is running a full system scan as it has been since last night to see if I have a virus. My computer has been acting weird lately, and I just wanted to make sure.

Ive deducted that I either, a, have the worst 3 year old computer in the world, b, am having a really bad weekend in terms of my luck with computers, or c, have some sort of virus on my computer. My browser hates afterwind, my computer hates Sim City, and my computer hates my browser. Sorry for bugging you guys with a problem that seems obviously to be client-side, rather than server-side.

It might be your computer, I get that problem occasionally. Say, does the game freece up before the turn timeout (which should happen about 40 seconds early on a machine such as yours or mine)? As for myself, I avoid crowded world games due to this issue. The game constantly freezes, especially when I click a city and have to wait a good 10 seconds every time till the recruitment window pops up. But I wouldn't think you'd get disconnected due to this. The only time I get disconnected due to my computer speed is when it freezes extra-hard upon the end of a turn. Otherwise, disconnects never seem to be the symptom of a crap PC. If it cannot even play SimCity... yeah it's probably your computer.

TRY REINSTALLING SILVERLIGHT. Also when Afterwind is being loaded, Right click and press silverlight - then go on storage application or something and Delete Afterwind, Restart your pc and then try it. If you can't right click and press silverlight then go on your start button windows button and press More Programs or Search "Microsoft Silverlight". Then press the application and then go to Application Storage and do the stated above delete afterwind... restart.. etc. I had the same problem as you but for me i couldn't play afterwind for 3 MONTHS and then i found out the problem. If this doesn't work go to control panel and go to Uninstall Programs. There might be a program called "Microsoft C+...." Uninstall that. Its a bug that comes on with Microsoft Silverlight or Microsoft Office. Hope this helps
