I've been trying and trying to find my own style when playing, but i cant seem to find how. No matter how varied my t1s are, my playstyle will tend towards that of someone who i've seen play a similar expansion before. Regardless of how many people i ask for duel, my playstyle will always tend towards one person who plays well. I've tried everything, from pd turk slowroll to gw ukraine to sm ukraine. However, my style will always tend towards the same thing, a style that i've seen others play. Any suggestions?

It's not matter of copying. it's not like you just repeat other people expansions and resmble their responses. you have proven that you are very acknowledged with the meanings and the consequences of your gameplay. Eventhough if you feel like you are limited or you don't have enough tools then just be venture. start a duel and make random expansion. see how it's going. forget your strongest start and play only those you are weak at. perhaps that would help. I also got to film one of my games for my friends and rewatching it really helped me.

Luke.... don't be so inflexible, so rigid. You're not a freaking machine, be more human. Do something little people do in Eu+ such as improsiving. And in case you haven't already thought this out, if you feel like you resemble any other player, that's cause there's been so much shit done in the standard map that there's barely any space to be creative.

Idk if styles exist. I believe there is a matter of how much you know, how much variety you can add to the game and if you are able to bring an element of surprise into the ecuation.

Resembling other players doesn't matter as long as your gameplay is intelligent and thought out.

Luke take a break from Europe and play ancient for a week. Or Asia. Or North America. Or hell even Africa/Middle East

Styles? What do you mean whit it? A good player don't have "Styles" the moves and tactics a player do during the game don't depend about styles , depends in your initial expansion plan and in the moves of your enemy, depends on take adventage of his mistakes or make moves that he don't expect , depends on how smart you are I only know 2 kinds of players , the players who prefer the risk moves and the players who prefer the secure moves, but in majority of games you have to be both so..just play smart

If you really forced yourself to do something massively different from good players who are successful, you'd likely just lose. The players who win play the way they do for a reason. Those wins aren't accidental. To apply the same strategies that win is just being smart.
