Well, new name for FYROM, is it trolling (from either side greece or macedonia) or they really mean it?

Can there be Greek province named Macedonia and Republic both? Can they coexist?

Can we blame Tito for Macedonian republic? I mean he only asked locals how they want their new republic to be named (in 1945) and they said Macedonia, so he listened. Should he name it otherwise or not let it exist (split between serbia bulgaria or greece)?

I don't know what to think, from 1945 point of view, i guess i would be against, but from 2018, it's hard to deny existance of republic and name which 1.3 million people want.

Greece hasn't accepted the name yet, get your facts straight.

There can be provinces who surpass frontiers who enable coexistence, it happens across Europe with the Basque Country for example or Tyrol nowadays or Jutland in a way, I'm all for the name of North Macedonia, though it's a bit gay and Macedonia as a country itself is a questionable country in its purpose or actual macedonian identity, I mean, the very historical core of Macedonia if I'm correct is in Greek lands soooo

Even if NATO dies, the Europeans would just convey on a European-sized Military Pact, and if Macedonia got in NATO, it means that Macedonia would be internationally integrated in transnational organizations like those

What they don't tell you though is that the president of Macedonia has to accept it (which at the time i am writing this he came out to say he would never sign it) ,
the parliament needs to vote on it (which the ruling coalition has a majority of with their 50 + 20 seats with the albanian parties they rallied with) but since the change is
constitutional they would need to have majority of 2/3 or 80+ seats and even after all that there will be a referendum around october or november and trust me unless
they rig it or something the people will vote against the new name i am sure of that because people here are very patriotic and take national values seriously.

Also we are not FYROM , we were forced to enter with that abbreviation in the UN , the actual constitutional name at this moment and since seceding away from
Yugoslavia is the Republic of Macedonia. So most of the world has accepted us as the Republic of Macedonia including your Russia or wherever you are from.

I think 150+ nations have recognized us as Republic of Macedonia.

official country name is REPUBLIC OF MACEDONIA

except that nato and eu arent going to die anytime soon. especially not nato.

Currently macedonia is standing still and the longer it does it will have more problems, both geopolitical and internal.

Id save the patriotism for later; when we join eu we can elect fascist goverments like austria and hungary have

I'd say you should be integrated into Greece, you don't seem very different

I think i got a solution: what about renaming greek macedonia to 'Macedon' like ancient region, while macedonia rename to 'Makedonia' as most slavic lands sound like that: Slovenia, Slavonia, Slovakia, Bulgaria, ends with 'nia' or 'kia'.

Im aware Greeks also call it 'makedonia' on greek language, but translation on english/american like 'Macedon' makes all the difference.
