Maybe they should have built it better
Maybe your suggestion comes with a 850 years delay.

I am hoping when Macron stated "We will find the most globally renowned architects to rebuild (Notre Dame de Paris)", he meant exceptionally skilled artists able to recreate the late Gothic visage the church had, rather than some steel-and-glass postmodern monstrosity with inclusivity minarets.

We will rebuild it, the damage is not that big, the wooden structure obviously burned but the rock is apparently ok.
If u want to look at the current vitality of classical construction in france, u can watch " la basilique saint denis " we're building the " fleche " (dart) once again. We rock as a people.

Please don't imply it's a miracle. The firemen rushed for the Christ's piece of the cross and the spine crown the romans coronated him with + the tunic of Louis IX, no miracle would have saved them D

Time to scale back to 12th century clerical architecture and replicate the engineering behind the Basilica of Saint-Denis, the paradigma for gothic architecutre xd Macron said it'd take 5 years to rebuild the cathedral: such a lie, restorations like these last decades

When people are willing to collect a total of 700 million euros for the restauration of one church in only 1 day, yet saving the earth is still a huge no.

Considering how much this.. catastrophe.. was in the news, donating for restoration is hella of publicity.
Plus after its restored those people will rush there to measure dicks on who helped more. You cant really do that in Africa without getting ebola or some shit, so yeah D
