Should bring the player count up a bit. Maybe there could even be a weekly ww2 tournament since most atwar players love this map.

The map would need a owner, atwar maps require updating alot, especially larger team based scenarios. Its not like he can just take the map and release it again. Unleashed destroyed his newest copy, all those updates he made are probably gone. Dave would have to boot a save from earlier. To that point there isnt a map creator on atwar id trust with the task of maintaining that map properlly. It also sets a shitty precedent that its ok to take people map work. I think someone just needs to make a new map from scratch.

Even Tik-Tok said once the best way to balance a map is by testing it. Most people can't properly balance maps due to them making maps on their own, now let's take into account atwar players as a whole and how reliable they'd actually be in properly balancing maps. The same players that say "this map isnt balanced it's shit bye" and just fuck off simply because they deem it not balanced. And what if a player discovers some meta that drastically changes how the map's played? Properly balancing and predicting what players will do is difficult in trying to make a map seem near perfect. Not even Aetius' ww1 which most people revere was 100% balanced right when it was released, it was gradually updated to be that way.

So you're basically scrap the idea rather than even trying it? It's dumb. Thinking about all the negatives about a suggestion won't help unless you try it. The point is, that atwar players aren't reliable. There's practically no map makers with the skill to do it who WANT to(also a lot of map makers don't like each other and wouldn't want to work together on a project). And then the players like I said are unreliable, most just call a map trash because it's not balanced and will never leave constructive criticism besides a small 5% of people. My point is not to try to undermine any attempts at reviving it, it's to explain how it's likely it will fail without proper guidance
