So I was in a game, started as Isreal, and egypt attacked my cap. Well I sent him an ally request, and he accpeted it, so pretty much it made me lose because the "no ally if attack" thing didn't work. Sorry, couldn't get a screenshot but I think the description is enough. After I lost it showed the "battle phase" screen but the "start turn" button wouldn't operate. Anhy thoughts?

If he attacks you, the alliance is auto declined, which means he moved troops onto your capital and then said he would ally you, to stop you from making a move on him.

This isn't true anymore, JoelHaynes, I believe. The alliance request isn't autorefused.

Ever heard of syria? but anyway i've had this happen to me once before... it's kinda annoying but i guess the excuse for it is that you can have an ally stronger than you protect your cap... why you died I don't know... but okay...

Probably because he had only one city at the moment (his capital), then even if his new allied was just protecting his capital, he had 0 cities and 0 troops to recover it, wich means instant loss.

I had troops that had already moved out and conquered a small city by then (suez I believe) But this pretty much expalins it, thanks Pin.

Lol i had the same issue is sudgested the option to be able to skip the peace if your the defender but that had too many holes. New sudgestion as like taking unocupied ally cities, to take your capital back all you need is one unit but it also ejects the "friendly" from your capitals (capital only)
