Agree, but humour doesn't always equal to development.

I can't judge him as he only recently took position, though he seems to be very responsive to players, which is a good thing so he's leaving a good first impression. But it's too early to give an opinion

Amok and Ivan were responsive to players and even played the game in late 2010/early 2011, so let's wait 7 years and see David

Amok and Ivan always gave vague and were very inconsistent with their wording. Also, they didn't even bother considering what players wanted. I asked david in forum how he'd think about changing gifting protocoins and he said that was one thing on his list of things to do. Amok and Ivan never replied to most suggestions players gave so he already has a 2 up on them.

They weren't inconsistent in 2011 as i remember, and they usually listened to players back then. So much that i started disliking it (too many player's ideas accepted back then). All im trying to say that it is not fair to talk like that about Ivan and Amok, judging them for their late behaviour, not taking into account their early activity.

Only time will tell, his introduction seemed genuine and he brings a spark of hope to the game which is nice.

I think it is fair, as the developer of the game, you're to take care of the game. Saying "fuck you" to the players basically is a slap in the face and that behavior is enough to ruin their reputation. Yes they did a lot, but let's compare how many years they were being competent vs incompetent. Game started in 2011 or 2010(i'm not sure, which) and they relinquished control in 2018. Their folly began in 2014 when we switched to HTML5, from about 2011 to 2014 is only about 4 years, and from 2014 to 2018 is yet another. So half of their time they were just saying "ha fuck u lol". They did do updates in 2014-2015 but the updates were all terrible and they ended up undoing those updates so I don't count any of those.

Ivan and Amok couldn't control the situation, they had to move to HTML5 when Browsers started dropping Silverlight in 2013. They had 1 year as Firefox and Chrome announced they're discarding SL, so they did the best they could. Afterwind worked perfect in SL, but it takes time to adjust it to HTML5. No one knew Map Editor will be hard to adjust, so not much could be done (admins lacked time to work on it by then).

Bullshit, "the best they could". You are talking about the same Ivan and Amok that introduced an update post html5 move, that allowed you to only play with people 3 ranks above and below you to help out low ranks, pissing off every high rank in existence to the point where they completely undid the update. You'd think at that point where they'd angered the community, their next move would try to reach out to the community to try to make an update that would make the now angry community happy, but did they? No. They just fucked off from the game, which only serves to make relations worse. Also I was not considering the html5 move a bad thing, what was bad however, was the lack of development from "developers". HTML5 was full of so many issues not just related to the editor and if they were stuck on that they could've easily could've tackled other broken things, like how high ranks are able to play in beginners room. (and yes that is possible, I've tested it)
