I've been thinking about this for a while now but there's tons of beautiful maps in AtWar that no one ever plays or truly appreciates. It's fine that no one plays them because of time constraints and the amount of players required in some cases, but there's so much history and so many lives imbued into this game that it doesn't feel right to not showcase this to the general public that we have this wonderful community of people helping build this game for zero compensation for the sake of their passion projects. I think we should do seasonal series showcasing maps on Instagram, Tik Tok, or display it prominently on a page in AtWar. Promoting maps is great for money but you don't truly know anything about the map till you open it, and unless you're in certain circles in this game that not everyone knows about you'll never be able to appreciate the innovations happening within this game and people will just assume the game is what they see. Unfortunately, we don't have ad revenue to compensate creators in this game and it would be hard pressed to have a profitable Patreon on this game but it feels like we're missing out on the benefits of having content creators which have built YouTube, Tik Tok, Instagram, etc. Think of all those artsy fan pages people follow on Instagram. That could be us. Anyone into history, war, or adventures would really dig it and the gameplay. Think of all the history buffs. I'm sure they would love to see real conflicts be turned into a game. At the very least we need to have a larger showcase for: 1) Aesthetic Maps. 2) Innovative Maps. 3) Game Play Maps. 4) Historically Accurate Maps. Building maps takes real talent, blood, sweat, and tears! We wouldn't want to waste all that would we?
