I also think there should be a "mixed" room so that all players in a clan - whether rank 1 or rank 15 , can all play together.

Begginers stop playing the game when they start losing after transitioning to the main room....
They are also discouraged by games being "rankist"... excluding lower ranks because they will "let the team down". making an un-enjoyable experience for all.. competitive games are also usually exclusive for ranks 7+ as lower ranks simply can't keep up...

If there was another room exclusively for ranks 5-7 it might encourage lower ranks to stick around and spend more time playing the game.. which can only be good for revenue and helping the game grow...

No support we don't need this, beginners room was bad enough as it was. Players don't improve if they don't play against better players. It however wouldn't be as bad as other additional room suggestions, since you can play in a all rank lobby even as low rank.

Suggested before. Rejected before.

Further segregation of players in games only makes it harder to find a good game to join.

You're missing the point. Its not about improving players or the competitive community.

Its about increasing the number of players who return to the game.

I doubt that.

But even if it did make it harder to make a good game in the "main" room. It would be a more enjoyable experience for players that have just graduated from the begginer room. Meaning they're more likely to come back... And more likely to buy premium.. Raising funds to improve the game

Has anyone ever bothered to ask r4's and 5's what they think? Rejecting the idea without looking into it makes no sense to me

Are you kidding me? I was one of the earliest people to push something like this. I know all about it.

Realistically the jump from tier four to six is very short. I realized this after reaching 6.

People learn more by fighting players better than themselves, not by fighting in their own little community of intermediates. This essentially means there will be dumber r4-6 players (as they don't learn a lot of new stuff from intermediate rooms).
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

One suggestion I have would be to make a massive push to recruit a lot of experienced players to train lower ranks till they reach tier 6 (eg: adopt-a-newb on steroids)
Possibly even giving protos/medals to the trainer for each person they train, this would really encourage veterans to get involved in training (and discourage excessive/extraneous forum use)

Once the trainer has taught a person through tier 6, it would be advised that they invite them to a clan to get further experience, as well as get familiar with CW's, team-work, and advanced techniques.

This would give a better community with more experienced players for us, and a good jump into this game without it getting too hard for them at r4-6.

You're kidding yourself... Its not about improving players its about shaping the game in such a way that lower ranks keep coming back and eventually want to pay for premium features... Allowing the game to thrive and improve from the revenues.

Too many lower ranks enter the main room and are simply put off the game because they lose all the time. There need to be a better environment for them to play in.

Its not all about making players better or removing the "dumber' ones. . Its about making the community grow, its about making the game fun- that's what people pay for.

I'm having no trouble at all here at tier 6.

I'm afraid I don't have the hours to spend discussing why your idea of an intermediate room is harmful rather than helpful (though you might)

See you in another topic

So don't talk about how easy it is to get to r7.. R0-4 takes a lot less time.

What sufficient reason? The whole point is to encourage noobs ro stick around and pay more for the game.. Not to "improve" quality of players or make it "easier" for higher ranks to start a game.

Noobs wouldn't be dripping off like flies as soon as they join the main room, hense more games if anything.

Quit being a smart arse

You want this idea to fly so badly don't you?

The fact that you haven't got a single upvote or comment stating approval of this is more than enough reason that people don't like this idea, so better let go instead of mouthing off calling me names and stating how dumb I am compared to you. Stop now and you save yourself a lot of trouble.

Well, unfortunately I'm not going to be as rude as you and call you names like you did you me.

Have you noticed people have more or less abandoned this topic?

You and I are the only ones left- but now I'm leaving, so that leaves just you to yell and call me names all you want.

I think a different room should be made a rank 9+ room and keep the main room as it is that way the competitive players can decide to go in a room were its only 9+ and main room will become a room for relaxed games and not that competitive so that lower ranked players can get better w/o being crushed by competitive players.
even tho the best way to get better is to play vs and lose to better players.
like i played 150 duels vs high ranks as a low rank to get better and learn their playing style

I dont think we need a room for mid ranks and people can set rank limits for their games anyway, but incresingly i see games in main for r0-5 or 0-6, so if a change were mad i would suggest rather than a new room keep players in beginners room untill they turn r6.

I think otherwise. Sure, the R4 and the R5s might come back a lot more often if there was a 3rd "intermediate" room, but that means that all the mid-to-high rankers who have a hard time finding good games as it is because stupid time zones will be more likely to leave.

So since they don't learn, it is a bad idea? Mmmm.

Is the game objective to learn? I though it was to have fun.

I won't enter in this discussion indeed, but you might wanted to know that the jump from rank 4 to 5 is market as a problem by admins, and they are analyzing proposals like this one.

Many of us didn't comment simply because we already know it is unlikely to happen anysoon, due to HTML MapMakers tool, which have higher priority.

I realize the object is to have fun. In my opinion alone, people will have more fun in the game having learned a lot about it and playing higher ranks, than playing r2-(?) on their own skill level. I say this from personal experience only. So no, not necessarily a bad idea, just one I think is very unnecessary (and therefore more important things are delayed)

Sure, but they're already leaving because of html, in the long run though this has the potential to retain more lower ranks and make the game OP busy.
If this was implemented the results wouldn't be seen for a few months. But if it worked you would have eager ranks 5-7 wanting more from the game.

just remove the beginners lobby, keep everybody in 1 Room, and make the "rank limits" feature free.

this has been suggested before but that would just bump up the noob ranks and instead of 7+ games being made then it would be 8+.

i still dont think we need a room for mid ranks though, that would just mean that everyone in the intermedeate room would just be marginally better than the begginer room and then they would probably get beaten down when they go into main room.

godofwar's idea probably has the most merrit but the competitive community would just struggle, cause fewer and fewer people would get involved in 3v3's against the best players so when they end up going to it they would be really under prepared for it and then the original problem comes back around again for competitive players.
sorry i dont have anything positive to say today.
