I get it it increases only crits, but it's really not like this is any different from the other strats. Yes, if you get unlucky, your troops will never crit. But with PD, if you get unlucky, your troops will never roll above a 6 either, so their 7 defence is useless. The point with both strats is that, on average, your troops will do better. Can someone explain to me why everyone says LB is a pure luck strat?

This is Risk. This is Luck and Rolls. For every single game, no matter your strategy, you depend on luck, always. However, LB is that strategy that takes your reliance in luck to a level further ahead. You're giving away money for increased chances in winning the lotto, literally.

I want a strat where I can pay money to increase my crit chance proportionally to what I payed that turn

That should be cooler than how LB actually works

This is great and all but there's one major flaw in your argument. If you go PD or any other strat that increases raw att/def, the att/def rolls depend on stack bonus. So if you are heavily out numbered as pd, your units will consistently make low roll. Crits on the other hand is not affected by stack bonus. It doesn't matter if it's an even fight or if you are heavily out numbered, the crit chances does not increase or decrease based off stack bonus. This is why people say LB is luck. Your stack could be ridiculously out numbered so badly that your units only roll 1s and 2s. But you still crit the same and still get those high value rolls thanks to the crit.
